A word from our Founder.
We asked Dawson what inspired the creation of Eagle Golf and why bringing this concept to the River Region was important.
What inspired you to start Eagle Golf?
“I’ve always enjoyed the game of golf, but like many people, I found that getting consistent time on the course isn’t always easy. Between unpredictable weather, busy schedules, and limited daylight during certain seasons, it can be challenging to play as often as you’d like.
At the same time, I had the opportunity to experience simulator golf in other cities and quickly realized how much potential the concept had, not just for practice, but for creating something entirely new. I saw an opportunity to bring that experience to our area and offer something that didn’t yet exist locally.”
What makes Eagle Golf different from a typical simulator facility?
“What stood out to me was how simulator golf could be more than just hitting balls into a screen. When designed correctly, it can create an atmosphere that blends the game of golf with a comfortable, social environment.
Eagle Golf was built to feel like an experience, a place where people can improve their game, spend time with friends, watch sports, and enjoy a great atmosphere all in one setting.
We focused heavily on details that enhance the overall experience, including premium simulator bays equipped with automatic tee systems. This allows players to focus on their swing and enjoy the flow of the game without interruption.
During the installation process, our Trackman representative, who covers the entire Southeast region, mentioned that he had not seen automatic tee systems implemented in any other Trackman-supported facility in the area. That feedback reinforced that we were creating something truly unique for this market.
From the technology to the environment, every aspect of Eagle Golf was designed to create a modern golf experience that feels both elevated and welcoming.”
Why was it important to bring this to the local community?
“The River Region continues to grow, and I felt there was an opportunity to introduce something unique that people here could enjoy year-round. You shouldn’t have to travel far to experience modern golf technology or find a place where you can relax and enjoy the game in a new way.
Eagle Golf is designed to be a local destination. Somewhere people can come regularly, bring friends, host events, or simply enjoy the experience.”
What is your vision for Eagle Golf moving forward?
“Our goal is to create an environment that people genuinely enjoy being part of. Whether someone is here to work on their swing, compete with friends, or just spend time in a comfortable setting, we want Eagle Golf to feel like a place worth coming back to.”
